CALLED HIM "HOMIE"

DRUNKEN WELSHMAN USES BAD LANGUAGE AND IS FINED When Alfred Alexander Berry, who is himself incidentally a native of Wales, had a few pints too many on Monday afternoon he went into a shop in Hinemoa Street and after an argument with the shopkeeper called him a "Homie" adding an adjective which is not usually in force in polite or any other society. This led to his appearanee yesterday morning in the Rotorua Police Court before Messrs R. B. Nesbit and R. Griffiths, Justices of the Peace, and on the charge of drunkenness he was convicted and discharged and ordered to pay expenses amounting to half a guinea, whilst on the charge of using obscene language in a publie place a fine of £1 was inflicted.
