DEATH OF WOMAN OF 82.

BOBBED HAIR INDIRECT CAUSE. A woman's death, which was indirecfly caused by having her hair bobbed at the age -of 82, was investgated recently by the Liverpool coroner, Mr. G. Cecil Mort. The woman, Mrs. 'Elizabeth Jones, was found dead in her home at Wavertree, wherg she lived alone. It* was stated that since she had her hair bobbed six months ago she had complained of cold and had wrapped a stocking round her neck. Death was d,ue to accidental asphyxia caused by the stocking, and an open verdict was returned. A LiVerpool doctor stated that it was unwise for. aged woman to have their hair bobbed. "I haVe known women some of them u'nder '60,"' he said; "who have had their hair bobbed for the first time and have found it has affected their health.
