Moldavia 1.., 72,730 Jervis Bay 36,940 Port Hobart 1,660 Matakana .... - 10,450 Ormonde 44,560 Port Hardy 1,350 Ballarat 16,050 Limerick 7,470 City of Dieppe .... 2,000 From New Zealand Piako 34,720 Maimoa „ .... .... 74,400 Port -Victor 34,670 Port Victor 63,080 Tekoa 10,460 Tekoa 53,381) Consequent upon the general lack of confidence among buyers in the face of unusually large shipments arrived ahd afloat, a further slump in values occurred, and very little husir ness was possible until quotations had declmed to 84/- and 86/- for finest New Zealand and 83/- and 85/for Kangaroo Australian. At those levels heavy buying took place and practically all available shipments were cleared. For what few supplies remained ready for delivery holders advanced their prices until nominal quotations of 90/- and 92/- for New Zealand and 89/- and 90/- for Australian were reached but immediately shipments became available the market turned very quiet and weaker. Current quotations are: — New Zealand, finest salted, 88s to 90s per cwt; Australian Kangaroo, salted, 88s to'89s per cwt; Danish, 118s to 120s; Argentine, unsalted, 84s to 90s. Cheese There have been the following fresh arrivals to note: — Crates. Piako 10,050 ■ Maimoa 7,620 Port Victor 640 Port Victor 10,980 Arrivals of New Zealand bheese have been very light and there have beep no arrivals of Australian. Demand has been steady and, with stocks small, values have marked an advance to the below mentioned quotations. At the close, however, there are lower offers of cheese ex steamers now due. Current quotations are. — New Zealand, white, 65s to 66s; coloured 63s to 64s. Australian, nominally 62s to 64s.
