Rec. January 17, 7 p.m. i London, January 17. Sam Furnace, the Chalk Farm murderer, by some means took poison in his cell. He is now semi-conscious and sinking. His wife is present. A detective l is at his bedside. trying to make sense of his incoherent talk. The police are baffled as to how he obtained the poison. He was stripped and his elothes were thoroughly searched.
