I MATAMATA BRANCH OF UNION j UiRGES MASS I MEETINGS 1 I A meeting of the executive qf the Matamata branch of the Farmers' Union recently passed the following resolution: "That the provincial executive arrange for 1 ass meetings at Hamilton and other centres throughout the j province, in collahoration with other j organisations, with a view to demon- j . strating the desperate plight of all ' branches of the exporting primary ! industries and the inevitable collapse of the whole social organisation if j satisfactory and effective remed-ial | measures are not at once adopted." i Some discussion took place on the ; proposed Central Bank Bill and cur- j rency reform. In regard to the j former, it was unanimously decided ' to ask for the susp.ension of the bill in~the meantime.
