MATAMATA The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd, report. — / At Matamata sale on Wednesday a medium yarding of cattle came forwaxd, prices being on a par with late quotations. A heavy yarding of sheep consisting mainly of store jiambs met with good eompetition, and satisfactory prices were realised throughout Pigs: A large yarding comprisedi mostly of baconers. Competition was keen throughout and there was no 1 lagging in the bidding, values showing an allround increase on quotations ruling previous to the holidays. Baconex's sold at equal to 3|d to 31d per lb; porkers, 4d to 4|d. Quotations: Fat lambs 10s 4d; light fat lambs, 7s 6d; fat ewes, 4s 6d; good store lambs, 5s 8d to 6s 4d; medium store lambs, 4s 7d to 5s 4d; cull lambs, 2s 6d to 4s ld; full-mouth ewes, 2s to 4s. Medium fat steers, £4 4s; fat cows, heavy, £3 to £4; medium, £2 5s to £2 14s; light, £1 8s to £2; killahle cows £1 4s to £1 7s; fresh store cows, 17s to £1 2s 6d; honers, 5s to 15s; potter bulls, heavy, £3 to £3 17s 6d; medium, £2 5s to £2 15s; light, £1 10s to £2. Pigs: Choppers, heavy, 32s to £1 15s; lighter, 22s to £1 10s; baconers,, prime heavy, 39s to £2 4s; medium., 37s to £1 19s; light, 32s to £1 16s; porkers, heavy, 28s to £1 11s; medium 25s to £1 7s; light, 21s to £1 4s; good stores, 21s to £1 5s; slips, 9s to 12s; weaners, 4s 6d to 9s.
