TAURANGA EXECUTIVE MAHE ARRAXGEMENTS FOR NEXT SHOW RINGING-IN DISCUSSED A meeting of the exeeutive committee of the Tauranga A. and P. Association was held on Saturday. There were present. Messrs P. T. Keam (chairman), I. Steph.ms. J. K. Hamilton, H. Silvester, II. G. Lever, F. W. Keam, J. II . Evans, H. S. Benjamin, J. A. Jordan, J. Lever, and F. Fullerton. Apologies were received from Messrs J. M. Darragh, T. Eidder, and A. C. Isherwood (secretary). Discussion took place on the question of the issue of luncheon tickits at the • annual show, it being Matea by Mr. J. K. Hamilton that as there were several junior stewards, who were not merab ,-rs of the association. but who gave considerable assistance to the association, he considered that it would be an injustice if they were not grantod free lunchcon tickets. It was pointed out that the rule was •for ihe purpose of preventing "ringing in'* and it should be adhered to. The question of ownership had ,i ro ea raised quite reeently by the Te Puke A. and P. Association, and it was df-cided to advise Te Puke that the ru.le would be strietly enforeed. It does not matter what individual associations do in the matter of ownership at their own shows, but when ! it? cowes to circuit competitions, where a number of associations are concerned, it raises a serious position. Additional Trophi.es The following cups and trophiehave been 'presented since the last meeting. — Mr. S. Armstrong, silver cup; Mann Hardware, Ltd., silver cup; donation, Messrs C. Wray and Son, 10s 6d. 'The chairman moved a vote of thanks to the donors, which was carried unanimously. Train Arrangements The secretary reported proposals of the raihvay timetable alterations for Show Day, March 1, as suggested by Mr. Cooper, stationmaster. From the north the train will arrive at 10 ■ a.m. and return at 6 p.m., instead of 2 p.m. From the south the train from Taneatua will be speeded up to arrive at the Strand station about 11 a.m. , and . return, leaving Tauranga at 5.15 p.m. The trains may carry any live- ! stock.
