FREE ADVICE London, January 11. The Daily Telegraph's' cricket critic says if the English batsmen do 'not play the Australian spin bowling at Adelaide better than at Melbourne there is little prospect of an English victory and urges Jardine to counteract spin bowling with spin-risking batting. He also advises the increase of bowling strength, by replacing either Larwood or Yoce by Mitchell, Brown or Verity. The Daily Herald suggests that Tate should replaee Bowes and adds: "The scant use made of the greathearted Sussex bowler amounts almost to a boycott." In demanding the strengthening of the batting the jxaper suggests that Paynter should take first knock with Sutcliffe.
