Ad'elaide, January 12. An objection by Jardine, the captain of the English touring team of cricketers, to a rather hoisterous reception accorded him when he' went to bat at the practice nets and the over-enthusicvstic 'attentions of the crowd when the English team left the ground: after the practice has led the local cricket autliorities to take the unprecedented action of closing the ground during practice "to all perSons, other than players and those whose presence there is indispensable. To-day the gates will be locked to the public, and a police guard posted. Even pressmen will be unable to gain admission.
