NO AUTHORITY
WITHOUT OFFICIAL SANCTION Rec. Jan. 12, 8.45 p.m. Ottawa, January 11. In connection with the Calgary report, it is stated here that Canada has a trade agreement with New Zealand, and the question of restricting shipments of butter to Canada has to be in accordance with that treaty. Officials of the Dominion had not heard of the proposal to impound the shipment of any commodity, and it is not known what is the authority for such action.
