MOUNTING DEFICIT
Rec, Jan. 5, 9 p.m. Washington, January 4. The Treasury reported to-day that the first six months for the 1933 fiseal year ended with a deficit of 1,159,000,000 dollars compared with 1,385,000,000 dollars a year ago. Unless Congress finds new sourees of revenue, and provides new economies, Treasury officials fear a deficit of 2,000,000,000 dollars by June.
