A NOVEL MAGNETO
An ingenious and original magneto unit has been produced by a wellknown British electrical faetory, in the form of a compact unit which is interchangeable with the ordinary coil ignition. The assembly is mount- ! ed vertically, and the driving shaft | is similar to ithat of the .battery ignition distributor, so that any car | can quickly be converted to magneto 1 ignition simply by withdrawing the i battery ignition distributor and | attaching the new magneto. It is elaimed that the device delivers a ! "fat" spark at all speeds, and it is j interesting to find that its armature is stationary, and that it is the magnet which is rotated.
