WEDDING
MONTGOMERY— JURD The Kutarere Methodist Church was tastefully decorated on Thursday December 29, for theiwedding of Miss Amy Beatrice Jurd, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Jurd, of "Ruatuna," Kutarere, to Mr. Vincent Montgomery, youngest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Thomas _Montgomery, of Mititai, North ern Wairoa. The Rev. G. R. Harris performed the ceremony and Mrs. Holmes presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away "by her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette, with lace, inset in the skirt and at the neck, and coatee of the same material. Her tulle veil, wrhich formed a train, was arranged on the head with orange blossom, and her ]>ouquet was of white Christmas lilies and gypsophila. In attendancs as bridesmaids were Miss Gertie Jurd and Miss Janet Ross, who were similarly gowned in green and p'ink fioral georgette and wore pink and green felt picture hats. They carried bouquets of pink carnations and gypsophila. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. R. Montgomery as best man, and Mr. V. Cox, as groomsman. The wedding luncheon was served at the home of the bride, the bride's mother receiving the guests in a black frock with hat to match and feathar boa. Her bouquet was of red carnations, and maidenhair f'ern. The bridegroom's mother wore a black crepe de chine frock with black felt hat and carried . a bouquet of mauve Michaelmas daisies. The happy couple left for the wedding tour in the afternoon the bride wearing turquoise blue ensemble and 1-i -h tn -t-nnp
