BADY FALLS INTO KEROSENE TIN BESIDE BED

Auckland, Thursday. Jeannie Watson Ainsworth, aged ten weeks, died last night under unusu.al circumstances. The mother of the child told the coroner that she took the bahy to bed with her last evening. An older child, aged2| years, slept at the. foot of the bed. She fed the bahy, then fell asleep. On awakening at three o'clock this morning she found that the. haby had fallen head first into a lcerosene tin beside the bed, which contained water. A doctor was called and artificial respiration was tried for an hour, but proved unavailing. , The inquest was adjourned.
