PROGRESSIVE PAIRS MATCHES HELD YESTERDAY MERRIMAN AND G. FRENCII WIN A progressive pairs competition was held on the Rotorua Bowling Club greens in the Government Grounds yesterday and at the. end of the day's play two slcips, Merriman and Marriot were all square with f our wins apiecc, the honour, however, going to the first-named on the aggregrate of the first two games. G. French had an outright win for the , leads by one point from Duff. Following are the points scored: — Skips : — Merriman, 4 wins; Marriot, 4 wins; Foster, 3 wins; Budd, 3 wins; A. French, Queenin, Lee, 2 wins; Pearce, 15 wins.' Leads: — G. French, 45 wins; Duff, 4 wins; Hastedt, 35 wins; Mayson, 3 wins; Levy, 3 wins; Steele, 2 wins; Bull, 15 wins; Hall, 15 wins; McElroy and Morland, one win each.
