CHRISTMAS TREE

WAIOTAHI INSTITUTE ENTERTAINS THE CHILDREN The Women's Institute at Waiotahi arranged a Christmas tree in the Waiotahi Hall on Wednesday for the benefit of the children of the district. A very merry evening was spent during which songs were given by Mrs. C. White, Mrs. T. Burke and Master Malcolm Burke, while Mr. George Lysaght gave an amusing ventriloquist sketch. After supper organised games were played until the appearance of Santa Claus himself which was the signal for the children to gather around the laden tree from which the old gentleman took a present for each ehild. The Institute Committee and helpers deserve the greatest credit for giving- the children such a treat.
