Rec. Dec. 24, 1 a.m. London, December 23. The newspapers are beginning to devote attention to the. prospects for the second Test match with Australia. The Daily Express says: It is the business of the Australian batsmen to find. a way of comb.atting the bowling of Larwood and Yoce. One would think that Woodfull, Ponsford and the rest, would know all that there is to be known about bowling. The writer helieves that they do and that the Sydney failure- was due to the fact that the English bowlers were at the peak of their form and to the surprising timidity of the batsmen. , Rec. Dec. 24, 1 a.m. Sydney, Dec. 23. It is reported that Larwood has strained his side as a result of the first Test and that since then, he has not been able to bowl. His eondition is causing anxiety and it is doubtful whether he will he able to take his place in the second Test team. However, he is to be given a try-out to-morrow.
