DEATH OF PROMINENT WELLINGTON MAN
Wellington, Thursday. The death is announced of Mr. Martyn Hume, vice-president of the Wellington Stock Exchange, the elde it son of the late Mr. James Huipe, who was for 35 years manager of the Bank of New Zealand in Hamilton, and nephew of the late Mr. George Edgecumbe, of Hamilton. Mr. C. M. Hume, supervisor of the Dominion Group Herd Testing Federation, Hamilton and Mr. W. H. Hume, Hamilton, are brothers of the deceased. The late Mr. Martyn Hume was lora, at Ngaruawahia, and was brought up in Hamilton, being at one time prominent in football in the distriet. He later entered business at Wellington as a stockbroker.
