SWAMP LOAN
TAUPIRI BOARD SECURES GOOD DEVELOPMENT LOAN Hamilton, Thursday. Adviee that a loan of £10,000 for swamp development work has been sanctioned has been reeeived from the Loans Board hy the Taupiri River and Drainage Board. The loan is for 30 years at a rate of 5 per cent. with a sinking fund provision of not less than 11 per cent. The money will be used on the £8000 scheme proposed by the Government for preparing thousands of acres of swamp land, north of Hamilton.
