GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. Score another bullseye for that marksman of top-notch pictures, Mr. Tom Mix. "The Texas Bad Man" thundered its way out of Universal City in a maze of blood-rousing thrills to set off a miniature tornado ofl action on the Grand Theatre sereen, last night and the two-fisted Texas cowboy, was in the midst of all the shootin' and was furnishing the lion's share of the excitement. Mix plays a stalwart Texas Ranger in the disguise of a nasty, bold bandit — all to round up a gang of desP'erate crooks — and what a round-up it is! There is shooting, riding and general excitement galore, .and Tom Mix carries off his honours like the great picture star he is. Beautiful Lucille Powers is entirely adequate as the heroine. Willard Robertson gives a finished performance as the dual-natured crook and Fred Kohler leaves nothing to be desired as the vicious villain. head Gold.
