London, Dec. 21. The Daily Mail's Dublin corres pondent says the Government has dismissed without explnation Colonel David Neligan, head of the detective division of the Civic Guard. Colonel Neligan was one of Mr. Michael Collin's lieutenants against the British and afterwards was intelligence offlcer in the Free State Army against Mr. de Valera's irreguInrs. The extremist Republicans disliked Colonel Neligan, demanded his removal and urged the disbandment of the detective division.
