Auckland, Tuesday. The hope that the -butter market touched rock bottom at 82's last week is taken from an announcement of 3s per cwt. increase in this morning's cables, which also report ah impr'oving market. Cheese, top shows a slight advance. Messrs. W. W. Bowker and Co., have received the following cable from Messrs. A. J. Mills and Co., London : — The butter market is firm, New Zealand finest 85s. Cheese is steady. White 51s to 52s, coloured 54s to 55s. Messrs- Joseph Nathan and Co.'s message from Messrs. Trengrouse and Nathan auotes butter at 85s to 86'si with the market firm. An Upward Tend'ency Messrs. H. S. Withers and Co.'s advice from Messrs. A. C. Rows'oxi and Co., states: Cheese, white- 51s) coloured 54s, butter, finest 84s to 85s. There is a good demand, with an upward tendency. The following cablegram regarding the London market for New Zealand daii*y produce was received yesterday by Joseph Nathan and Company, Ltd.y f-;om Trengrouse and Nathan, Ltd., London : — After brisk trading* in butter at 82s the market closed at 84s. White cheese, 50s; coloured, 53s. The market is steadier.
