Rec. Dec. 21, 1.0 a.m. Chicago, Dec. 19. Frank Nitti was killed when police raided a gang headquarters in a city office building. Seven gangsters present lined up to the wall meekly enougH until an officer . noticed Nitti slip a small piece of paper* into his mouth and chew violently. A policeman jumped to snatch the paper and Nitti drew a revolver. Ten shots were exchanged before Nitti fell dead. The mysterious paper contained a list in code of the names of suspected persons nailed down for death in the beer wars.
