AUSTRALIAN EMBARGO UPON NEW ZEALAND FRUIT Rec. Dec. 19, 8.0 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 19. Representatives of exporters and shipping companies interviewed the Federal Minister of Commerce, Mr. Stewart, in regard to the New Zealand embargo on Australian fruit and vegetables. Mr. Stewart made a statement that fresh negotiations had been begun with New Zealand with the object of impressing on the Dominion Government that whatever action was taken, was fcr the reasons of public health. ITowever, efforts were now being made to straighten out the difficulties, and he would have a conference immediately with the Federal Minister of Health.
