CONCERT AT TANEATUA.

A very successful concert was held in the Anzac Hall, Ruatolci, by the pupils of the native school assisted hy a troop of adults led by Mr. Rangi Royal and assisted hy the P'W. Wharetini Rangi. The school children provided the first lialf of the programme and Mr. and Mrs. Royal were responsible for the second lialf of a delightful evening. During the evening the headmaster, Mr. R. H. jnansler made a presentation to Diclc Wilson, head prefect, for ability and assistance to his teachers. Dick Wilson won the Auckland primary school tennis championship last year. The following are some of the outstanding itoms: — First Half.— Pokarelcare, E. and ,vv. Brown, K. and K. Trainor; haka, Little Boys led hy Moai Tuhi; fairy dance, Maori action songs, poppy song, by priniers, and numerous ite'ms by the upper standards, including a playlet entitled "The Troublesome Baby," and a recitation, "The Pirate." The second half was as delightful as the first and a most enjoyable evening" was brought to a close with the Tuhoi troupe singing "Epari Ra."
