A pleasing spectacle was presented in the Taneatua children's fancy dress ball held recently and when the children were marshalled for the grand march, the many original and dainty costumes made a riot of colour, ming- | ling with the streamers and ferns, with which the hall was decorated. Misses Prideaux, Inglis, Ryde and Messrs. Varley, Smith, Bradly took care of the children, while Mr. Cow- ( nard made a capable M.C. Hulton's Joy Boys played in their usual snappy style, and Messrs. Smith, Varley and Print played the extras. The children i held the floor until 10 p.m., and after , the children's supper the adults took charge. The Taneatua .school funds will benefit from an enjoyable evening.
