The Whakatane Cyele Club held its weekly meeting on the Domain last evening. In the B grade senior flying quarter-mile event, R. Benton rode an exceptional fine race to put up a record time of 35see. for the distance. * _ Results : — ' | Junior Half -mile. — A. Jeffanes, 15 j yds, 1; D. Bryanton, 15yds, 2; W. i Bridger, scr, 3. * -- Ladies' Half -mile. — A. Milson, 35 yds, 1; A. Cartwright, scr, 2; Mrs. Balcer, 50yds, 3. Time, 1.245. Ladies' Half -mile Record (paced). — A. Cartwright, 1.25 1-5. B Grade Senior Flying QuarterMile. — R. Benton, 35s. A record. A three-heat event. Winers of heats were J. Whitten, D. Aberhart and J. Whitten. The time for the fastest heat was 36 4-5s, that of J. Whitten.
