AUTHORITY GIVEN FOR £40,875 IN NEW ISSUES

Wellington, Friday. At a meeting of the Local Government Loans Board, 3cl applications for loans totalling £969,185 were dealt with. Loans amounting to £947,100 were sanctioned, including £906,125 renewals and £40,875 new loans. The balance, £18,085 of the amount submitted to the meeting was either declined or referred baelc to the local authority concerned for further consideration. The diversion of unexpended loans, £70,928 was also sanctioned.
