TARRANT'S APPEAL

SPECIAL SITTINGS OF COURT MAY BE FOUND NECESSARY Wellington, Friday. It is probable that a special sitting of the Court of Appeal will be held in January for the hearing of the appeal by Edward Tarrant und*er sentence of death for the murder at Picton. The question is under eonsideration by the Attorney General, and it may be necessary for an Order-in-Council to be made for the special sitting of the Court which does not meet in the ordinary way until March 13.
