SUCCESSFUL DANCE FOR SCHOOL FUNDS. A most successful dance was held in the Ngongotaha Hall on Monday evening in iaid of the school pienic funds. Items given by the children were thoroughly enjoyed and excel- ( lent dance mnsic was suppled hy Epi Shalfoon's Melody Boys. | The f ollowing items were given by i the children: — Folk dancing by the senior and junior girls; recitation hy Miss Lily Cormay, which was very I well rendered; ballet Mickey and Minnie, by J. Reidy and F. Marcroft; the J sailors' hornpipe hy Y. Marcroft. Per- | haps the best item of the evening was "Fair Rosie," the part of Rosie being I taken by wee Coral McPherson and ' Jonas Smyth made a charming Prince. | Items by the Awahou Boys were also j well received. Songs hy the pupils : of Miss M. Fitzgerald, D. Jones and I. Green were 'a credit to the school I and the teaching staff . j Among those present were: — Mrs. i D. Sinclair, hlack georgette; Mrs. P.
