DANCE AT BRENTS

S AN ATORIUM BENEFIT. To provide funds for the amnsement and entertainment of patients iat the Sanatorium during Christmas and New Year, a most enjoyable dance wa3 held at Brent's Bathgate House on Tuesday evening, the ballroom being kindly lent for the purpose by the management. Progressive bridge as well as dancing whiled away a pleasant evening, the bridge being held in the loiinge, which' was artistically arranged with bowls of pink sweet peas. Black and white streamer3 and superstitious emblems of owls and witches made attractive decoration in the ballroom. During the evening Mr. L. J. Bayfeild expressed the organisors' appreciation of the large $tttendance present, lalso to Brent's management for making the ballroom available and to Mr. Epi Shalfoon and his Melody Boys for their kindness, in pmviding the music free of charge. He then called upon Mrs. J. Camptell Duncan to present the bridge Pr^e3' which were won as follows. Mrs. Fraer, 1; Hidden numbers, Mrs. Hannah. Among those present were: Mrs. L. J. Bayfeild, Mrs. J.
