Rec, Dec- 13, 7.0 p.m. Lontlon, Dec. 12. The Lusitania has heen definitely located where she sank, eight miles off the old Ilead of Kinsale. .Salvaging will start early in the New Year. Captain Courtenay's expedition expeets to retrieve the liner's safe by divers descending a ladder from Mr. Simon Lake's steel tuhe. A New Yoiic woman has commissioned the expedition to recover her pearl necklace worth 1,000,000 dollars. The Lusitania was torpedoed on May 7, 1915 by a German submarine and sank carrying over 1500 persons to their death. Over 100 Americans were among the missing and the affair caused a tremendous sensation. Feeling ran high in the United States and the sinking of the vessel is said to f largely inliuenced American public opinion toward entering the war on the side' of the Allies.
