ANTI-DAZZLE
Some of the latest British cars are being fitt£d with a windscreen of more than ordinary interest which is intended to prevent dazzle. The screen eonsists of two sheets of unsplinterable glass, which normally are held close together. The frame in which the panes are set is surrounded by a watertight reservoir, which is filled with a coloured liquid. By the pressure of a lever this liquid can be foroed between the two plates temporarily to shade the screen blue, j green, or any other tint desired to j prevent dazzle. By releasing the ' control lever the plates close together | again, forcing out the coloured fluid and enahling the screen to assume its normal colour. The device is applicable to the rear light for the purpose of preventing the reflection of the j healights of following cars in the \ mirror, and to headlights, either for the purpose of preventing -dazzle or for obtaining a light suitably coloured for fog-p'enetration purposes.
