FREEZING WORKERS
new union formed OF nev/ volunteer men Auckland, Thnrsday. Registration of the new union which has been in course of formation at Southdov/n and Westfield Freezing Works, has now been approved by the Registrar of Industrial Unions, according to advice received from Wellington. It is understood that the new union will commence to function almost at once. About a month ago the first steps were taken for the formation , of the union, the members comprising the employees who were engaged . after the slaughtering and other workers refused to aecept the new terms of employment put into force on Oetober 16. i Advice has been received from the j Horotiu .men that their application for registration of their proposed unJ ion would be granted when certain small formalities had been complied with.
