PET CANARY'S LEG SET
SURGEON'S DIFFICULT TASK.. One of the oddest cases taken in at a big London hospital was that of a pet canary which was given surgical treatment at the Seamen's Hospital, Greenwich, England, recently. " My darling canary has broken its le^ in the wirework of itsi eage, please do something for it," a woman appealed to the surgeon in charge. The delicate leg of the bird presented unusual difficulties, but he succeeded in setting it after working for an hour.
