Court Sitting The usual fortnightly sitting of the Magistrate's Court was not held yesterday,' it having been decided to' advance the date of the sitting to December 12 to adjust the transaction of business over the holidays. Wallabies Seen A party of anglsrs who were motoi*ing down the Te Ngae Road saw- a wallahy on( Sunday. There appear to be several of these animals about for this is the third occasion within recent weeks that wallabies have been reported from this loeality. Increased Factory Output An increase of 42 tons for the p>ast month over the figures for the month of November, 1931 is recorded hy the Ngongotaha Dairy Factory. During November, the factory turned out 175 tons of butter at the rate of ahout 7J tons a day. Th'e total output for the, season to date is 143^ tons more than for the corresponding period of l'ast season. Show Building Site During the past week a number of the big trees on the Rotorua Agricultural and ' Pastoi-»,l Association'is section in Fenton Street have been felled by the contractors in preparation for the commencement of erection of the .association's show building for which tenders close on Monday next. Only the trees on th'e site of the propased building will he- removed. Larger Mails A large increase in the amount of mail matter sorted ,at the Rotorua Post Offiee has been noted during the past few months. In the parcel traffic this increase has been partieularly noticeable, indicating that freer spending is following increased confidence in the future by the general publie. Charity. Stamps Ch'arity istamps have now been on sale at the Rotorua Post Ofiice for some days and already the stamps have been in great demand. This year the stamp has been altered and it is a fine example of high class engraving .and philatelic art. "And Ten Fish" Four postal offieials and a dairy factory official had a rather unenviable experienoe on Lake Tarawera on Sunday. During the h'eight of the gale, which swept the lake their launch first of all broke down and when the breakdown was repaired, ran out of benzine. The waves were too choppy to allow of more benzine being put in and the launch and its cargo drifted about until it fetehed up at the shore. In the meantime whilst drifting, it had been swept with spray and all hands were seabed to the skin. A fire was lit and five ardent anglers in their birthday suits spent a most unpleasant time getting dry and warm. However they caught ten trout. . Harvesting- in Full Swing Harvesting is now in full swing in the Te Teko district where several oat crops are in stook- The crops this year have suffered from the prevailing dryness and are short in the straw, whilst the heads are light. In many cases farmers are cutting for oaten hay instead of chaffing or threshing. University Examinations The annual examinations for University entrance and University scholarships are at present in progress. There are 34 Rotorua candidates sitting in different subjects; the last of which will be completed next Monday. As on previous occasions, the examinations are being conducted at St. John's Hall and Mrs. A. C. Randerson is chief supervisor. Anothcr Twelve-Pounder The second twelve-pounder taken during the present fishing segson fell to the rod of Mr. H. Cuff, of Te Puke, on Sunday. This fish was a brown trout, in excellent condition and was taken on the fly off the Waiiti stream, where it flows into Lake Rotoiti.^ Last Monday a rainbow trout of the same weight was taken in Rotoiti hy Mr. C.
