The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports as follows on its Opotiki sale:— A poor. yarding of both sheep and cattle met with quiet competition from an average attendance of buyers. Cattle sold at rates on a par with recent saies. Sheep : — A small line of four to six-tooth wethers being the only entry met with poor competition. Sheep four to six-tooth wethers, shorn, 6s. Cattle, two to three-yeaf steers, Shorthorn, 19s to £1 16s; fat cows, £1 ls to £1 12s d; yearling Jersey heifers, 27s 6d; store cows, 12s to 17s; two-year old dairy bulls, £2 2s; bulls, "potters to £1 ls; weaner pigs to 14s.
