STEWARDS APPOINTED TO CONTROL VARIOUS SECTIONS o SIIOW DATES ALLOTTED A meeting- of the general commiteo of the Rotorua Agriculttiral and Pastoral Association was held last wening to fmalise a date and eleet tewaxds for next year's annual show;. in the unavoidable ' absence of tbe nesiuent, Mr. II. P. Ford, Mr; C. Shooter, vice-president, occupied ;he chair. After discussion on suitable d'ates it was decided to hold the next anxual show on Wednesday and Thursh:y, May 24 and 25, 1933, and the -ecretary was instructed to forward m invitation ,to the Governor-Gen-ex*al (Lord Bledisloe) to officially open the new show building on the first day oi the show. Advice was received that the association had been allotted the North Islaxxd ehampionship for brown leg-hoi-ns by the North Island Poxxltfy, Pigeon and Canary Association for Ihe poultry section of the next annual fixture. After agreeing that the field crops coir.petition should again be held the committee appointed Messrs. C. S. Dalgliesh (convenor), H. P. Ford, G. Ford, II. M. Martin, A. L. Keith^nd R. C. Sxxxith a sub-committee to co.nsider recommendations in connection with the control of the competition, which will be open to farmers .in the Rotorua and East Taupo districts. , Tho children's home garden .competition will also be held and for this good prizes wero allocated and judging will take place at the end of March, 3933. Sehedules for the show are to be in print within one weelc from date. The following were elected stewards for the varioixs sections of th'e show. Poultx-y section, C. Jackson j field produce: chief steward, G. Ford; assistants, Messrs C. S. Dalgliesh, K. Martin and G. Gunson. Garden section: chief steward, J. Moule; as- , sistant, J. Denyer. Fruit section: Mrs. J. Moule; dairy produce section, C. Bux-rows; miscellaneous, Maori arts and erafts section: Chief steward, Mr. H. Hamilton; assistants, Messrs. E. La Trobe Hill, E. Pratt, and R. G. Smith; baking section:. Chief steward, Mrs. Ewen; assistants, Mrs. Coates and Mrs. E. M. Morrison; jams and preserves section:. Chief steward, Miss Moxxle; assistant, Mrs. Denyer; needlework, Mrs. C. Newson; children's section, Mr. C. Shooter; floor stewards, Messrs. G. Steele (chief), E. Armer and J."W. Wrigley; ground steward, Mr. E. T. J ohnson. .
