VALUES AT CAMBRIDGE
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Cambridge stock sale held yesterday as follows: Cattle : — The yarding consisted principally of medium fat cows which met with a good demand at values very firm on recent Frankton quotations. A few light, fat bullocks and a few pens of yearling heifers changed hands at late rates. There was not much demand for a small entry of dairy cattle which mostly failed to reach vendors' reserves. W e quote : — Unfinished bullocks, £2 10s to £2 16s; prime quality fat cows and heifers, £2 7s Gd to £2 14s; lighter quality, £1 18s to £2 5s; light £1 10s to £1 16s; good stores, £1 ls ro £1 7s; fair do, 14s to 17s Gd; boners to 12s; medium conditioned yearling heifers, £1 13s to £1 18s; poorer ,£1 4s to £1 10s; inferior to £1 ls; potter bulls, £2 to*£3 3s; good dairy cows and heifers, £4 to £5 10s; poorer, £3 5s to £4; inferior, £2 10s to £3. Pigs: — An. unusually small entry of stores and weaners e'ame forward, ■vhile medium to light porkers predominated. A good sale was effeeted i'or the whole of the offering at values appreciably in advance of late rates. Medium baconers, £1 13s to £1 18s; light baconers, £1 9s to £1 12s; heavy porkers, £1 4s to £1 7s; light porkers, 19s to £1 3s; stores, 16s to 19s; slips, 13s to 15s; large weaners, 8s to 12s; small to 7s Gd.
