BODY OF MISSING MAN DISCOVERED AT BELMONT

Auckland, Saturday. The body of Mr. Allan Lamb Robertson, aged 64, of 48 Waterview Road, Stanley Bay, was found on the rocks at the foot of a cliff between Narrow Neck and Belmont about 9 o'clock this morning. He had a bullet wound in his head, and, a few yards away in the sand, a home-made pistol was found. Mr. Robertson had been missing from his home since 3.30 yesterday afternoon. His wife reported the fact to the police when he did not return home in the evening, and the police discovered the body. Mr. Robertson was an engineer. He had been employed by the Devonport Borough Council, and for years previously had been in the employ of the Auckland Harbour Board- He leaves an adult family.
