BUSINESSMEN MEET
RULES OF NEW COMBINED ASSOCIATION ARE APPROVED A generall meeting of the Rotorua Chamher of Commerce and Rotorua Retail Traders Association was held at the Dolly Varden tea rooms on Friday, November 5. Mr. W. R. Harris, president, presided over a large iattendance. The new rules of the association, submitted! by the committee appointed to deal with the matter, were approved. Three new membeirs were elected: Messrs. C. Burrows,) E. H. Crawford and R. E. Stewart. It was decided to write to the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Associated Chambers of Commerce, Wellington, Mr. C. H. Clinkard, M.P., and the Postmaster-General, again drawing their attention to the high cost of telephone rentals. ! The secretary was authorised to write to the Rotorua Borough Council advising that Mr. E. Pratt had ' been appointed to act on the Publicity Committee as representative of retail traders.
