There was a medium yarding of sheep at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day, when wether quotations were firm at late rates,, Ewes met with a better demand and prices were slightly firmer. Lambs . and hoggets were at last week's quo- I tations. a smaller entry of ox and prime cow beef came forwardr with a marked increase in prices in both' classes. Ordinary cow and heifer beef were sold at late rates. Pigs were yarded in good numbers, prices for baconers being slightly firmer. Quotations. — Sheep : Prime shorn wethers, 11s to 11s 6d; medium shorn wethers, 10s 3d to 10s 9d; light ditto. 9s 6d to 10s; prime young ewes, 6s 6d to 7s 6d; prime fat ewes, 5s 9d to 6s 4d; medium fat 'ewes, 5s to 5s 6d; woolly hoggets, 10s to 10s 6d; shorn hoggets, 10s to 10s 6d; prime lambs, 12s to 13s; light and medium, 9s 6d to 11s 6d. Beef. — Prime heavy bullocks, £5 10s to £6 5s; lighter fat bullocks, £5 to £5 7s 6d; heavy fat.cows, £4 4s to £5 2s 6d; lighter fat cows, £3 10s to £3 18s 6d; fat cows, £2 7s 6d to £3 5s. Pigs. — Heavy baconers, 33s to 43s; heavy porkers, 26s to 30s.
