ROTORUA NO- I TROOP

Week ending November 18, 1932. On duty. Scoutmaster T. C. Hawkins. Patrol Leader N. Harris. Patrol "Beaver." Next for Duty: "Fox." Weekly Parade: There was a good attendance of members of the Rotorua No. 1 Troop at the weekly parade held at headquarters last night, when 51 boys paraded under Scoutmaster Hawkins. Instruction was ■ given in first aid, signalling and tenderfoot work by the Troopleaders and the scoutmaster. Last week six new boys were sworn in as Scouts having passed their tenderfoot examination. Last night, two new boys were proposed as members of the troop and will be sworn in as soon as they have passed their . test. Arrangements were made for a gala night next Friday, November 18, when the troop will hold a "Parents' Night." Sixteen Scouts from Ngongotaha and 18 Cubs will be sworn in. It is hoped that District Commissioner Ward will be present to officiate, also members of the Group Committee and parents and friends of the Scouts. Supper will be served by the boys at 9 p.m. Boys should bring their own mugs. Tickets were distributed to the boys for the p'icture show kindly arrangedby Mr. A. Macdermott, in aid of the purchase of material, etc., to make it possibla for the boys to go to camp this year. It is hoped everyone will buy a ticket and help the boys to make it a bumper night.
