Auckland sohcitor again before court

Auckland, Tuesday. Chaxdes Stewart Leahy, aged 44, solicitor, who last week was sentenced to three years' imprisonment' with hard labour for theft, appeared in the Police Court this morning on two furthex" charges. • He was chax'ged with stealing £315 belonging to Reginald Roberts, on March 1, and £16 and further sums totalling £502, the property of Thomas .James O'Hagan. • "There are at least five further charges to be brought against Leahy," said Detective Sergeant Kelly in asking for a remand. Mi% W. R. McKean, S.M., asked Mx*. Kelljr if the police wex*e going on with the hearing of the charges. "Yes, certainly," replied Mr. Kelly. "Those are my instructions." Leahy was remanded to appear on November 28, when all the chai'ges will be heard together.
