RAGWORT EXPERIMENT
It is the intention of the Agricultural Department, if a suitable area can be obtained, to try experiments with top-dressing ragwort-infested country with lime and sodium chlorate. Some farmers have placed great faith in this method of dealing witb the pest. _ An area of fairly leve] ground, within reasonable observation distance and closely over-run witb the weed is desirable.
