A SUGGESTION

Sir, — Waste of any kind is at all times to be greatly deprecated. At the present time in and aromnd Rotorua, there are probably hundreds of trout each day thrown away or burned by anglers. May I suggest that a depot be set up in Rotorua where- all surplus fish could be left. These fish could be given out to people and families who are at the present time in actual want of the common necessities of life. I am certainly of the opinion that nearly all anglers would be only too pleased to dispose of their surplus trout in this way. It seems to be almost a crime to be wasting good food of this description when deserving people are going hungry around us. — I am, etc. F. B. K. McARTHUR. Rotorua, Nov. 14, 1932.
