Rec. Nov. 13, 11.25 p.m. Camaguey, Cuba, Nov. 13. The interior secretary, Senor Zuhrizrutta, on Sunday morning estimated the dead in the region of the Guban hurricane and- tidal wave at 2500. The estimate followed a three hours' inspection in Santa Clara. He estimated that 70 per cent. df the population of Sanata Gruz del Sur, was wiped out. The wreckage served as a funeral pyre. The Gtiban Health Officer estimated that'1000 bodies had been hurned under his supervision, and hundreds are still unburned everywhere. Water is scarce and has caused fear of epidemic, particularly measles, of which there are several cases. Food and medicine supplies are being rushed to the stricken area.
