THREATS IN SYDNEY
Sydney, November 8. Rumours of an intended Communist demonstration throughout the city in commemoration of the anniversary of the Russian.revolution led to the disposition of a thousand police in various points with reserves ready to go anywhere needed, As a result the demonstration march was abandoned. Various small meetings passed off without incident.
