Greymouth, Saturday. A man was under arrest for drunkenness at Waiuta last night. When Cohstable Neary entered the ceu at nine o'clock the prisdner attacked him and endeavoured to escape. During the struggle the constable feff heavily, injuring his right leg, He informed the prisoner, who ceased struggling and went for assistance. Constab)e Neary was brought to the Greymouth Hospital this morning. His right leg is badly fractured.
