HOOVER'S CHANCES NOT HELD TO BE BRIGHT New York, November 4. In the Literary Digest's poll 56 per cent. of the total vote was for Mr. Roovevelt, 35 per 'cent. for Mr. Hoover and 5 per cent. for Mr. Thomas (the Socialist candidate) . It appears that nothing but a miracle can 'save Mr. Hoover.
